An iterative procedure is proposed for calculating optimized group expansions for pair-distribution functions (PDF) of ionic systems. The procedure for generating the solution of the integral equation for PDF includes the selection of a basis system for hard spheres and is based on the screening potentials of the mean-sphere approximation. Results of the third group-coefficient approximation and the first iteration are discussed. The PDF of a nonpolar impurity in an ionic solvent is calculated.
