Abstract

We confirmed the existence of Zn64(n, t)Cu62 reaction and determined its cross-section as 150μb±10μb at 14,7 MeV neutron energy. A quick chemical separation technique enabled the measurement of the weak Cu62 activity. The relatively high yield of the (n, t) reaction cannot be explained on the basis of the statistical model.
