Abstract

The authors used the SPEKTROMOM 2000 IR spectrophotometer in determining the quartz and carbonate component of soils. Advantage of the method is that the spectrum can be recorded in a short time and it is reproducible. The method is free of inaccuracies due to disturbing factors in X-ray diffraction method.
