Abstract

In this study, fog droplets and aqueous extracts of interstitial aerosol particles were analyzed to characterize their water soluble organic carbon content. Fog samples were collected in the Po-Valley by using an automated, computer driven sampling system. Both filtered fog water samples and aqueous extracts of interstitial aerosol samples were analyzed by size exclusion chromatography.
