Abstract

Nucleation and growth processes are studied by isothermal resistivity measurements at 495 C in Cu-Cr base alloys. It is found that the deviation from Matthiessen's rule, DELTA rho //0, is highly sensitive to these processes. The results are interpreted in terms of a positive contribution, having a maximum at a certain size of chromium precipitates and a negative one, due to solute chromium atoms.
