The heteroatoms removal capability of a CoMo catalyst modified for selective HDS was investigated with industrial heavy FCC gasoline (HCN) and with a mixture of HCN/pyrolisis gasoline. The tests for heteroatom removal were carried out in a pilot scale reactor system in a continuous operation. The results showed that the yield of liquid products was high at any combination of the operating conditions and no yield loss due to hydrocracking was observed. The results evidenced that the catalyst is able to desulfurize both feeds below 10 ppm sulfur level with 1-2 units loss of RON in case of the previous feed and maximum 0.9 units in case of the latter feed.
