Investigation of FCC gasoline upgrading on Pt-Pd/USY catalyst

Abstract

Production of FCC gasoline with increased quality using Pt-Pt-Pd/USY catalysts was studied. The application of Pt-Pd/USY catalyst products having about 10 mg/kg sulfur content can be produced with less octane number loss from 34-204 mg/kg sulfur containing feeds compared to the conventional CoMo/Al2O3 catalyst. Octane number of the products gained from feedstock having 34-153 mg/kg sulfur content on Pt-Pd/USY catalyst was higher than that of the products gained on new generation CoMo/Al2O3. The advantages of using Pt-Pd/USY catalyst together with the new generation CoMo/Al2O3 were discussed.
