Abstract

The mechanical properties of basalt fiber reinforced polypropylene composites were examined as a function of fiber content and treating agents that promote interfacial adhesion. The cheap basalt fiber is suitable for increasing the stiffness of polypropylene although it is sensitive to the presence of surface treating agent.
