Abstract

Anti-D dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of peripheral nononuclear blood cells was measured in 69 thyroid cancer patients belonging to one of the main subtypes, and in 11 age-matched controls with benign thyroid disease. Independently of cancer subtype, tumor status, previous operation, age and sex, no differences in ADCC were observed. Further studies are warranted to clarify the cause of the constant ADCC levels.
