Abstract

The rheumatoid nodule is a characteristic extra-articular manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Intra-articular localization of these nodules is rare and has been described previously only in association with RA. We report a 43-year-old woman who had intra-articular rheumatoid nodules of the knee joint in the absence of rheumatoid disease.
