Internal conversion at the higher shells in the decay of113* In (100 min)

Abstract

The ratios of the conversion coefficients at the higher shells and subshells were measured in the 391,7 keV isomeric transition of113In. On the basis of a computer analysis of the L subshell conversion lines it can be stated that the transition has an M4 character and the most probable value of the E5 admixture is zero. The L/M and M/N conversion ratios show a good agreement with the recent calculations of Hager and Seltzer and Dragoun et al.
