The authors list many cases reported in the scientific literature, where avirulent or low pathogenic influenza viruses caused severe losses in flocks infected of mycoplasmas. They summarise its causes - based on the literature, as well - that mycoplasmas damage the host's epithel cells, prevent phagocytosis and the function of immune system, and enhance pathologic effect of influenza viruses, thus help entering into host's cells and increase also virulence of influenza viruses.
