Abstract

Insight on the initiation of electroless Ni-P coatings on copper, iron, and aluminum substrates is provided. A potentiometric method using a nickel-coated copper reference electrode was employed in working baths at 90 degree C. Transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction studies supplemented the potential data.
