Influence of phonon squeezing on the transient spectrum

Abstract

Changes of the transient electronic spectrum of molecules, due to the formation of squeezed-like phonon states, are calculated in pump and probe experiments. After an ultrashort excitation, this effect typically changes both the spectrum's position and shape, periodically. The amplitude of the effect decreases while the system relaxes towards steady state through dephasing.
