Increased permeability of the blood-brain barrier in lymphostatic encephalopathy an electron microscopic study

Abstract

These studies conlirm our previous work performed by means of the trypan-blue technique and indicate an increased permeability of the blood-brain barrier in Lymphogenic Encephalopathy. This alteration is a consequence of ligation of cervical lymph glands, i.e. of the experimental disease Lymphostatic Encephalopathy brought about by this surgery; there is no increase of the permeability of the blood-brain barrier after ligation of inguinal lymph glands.
