23Na, 27Al, 29Si and 13C-MAS NMR techniques were used for investigation of heterogeneous transformation of CCl2F2 over NaY-FAU and HZSM-5-MFI zeolites. We established that CCl2F2 decomposes generating CCl4 and COCl2 as surface intermediates and CO2 as final product. During the reaction, irreversible structural changes occur in the zeolite framework.
