The formation processes of crystalline Sb thin films were studied by UHV ″in-situ″ electron microscopy. Depending on the substrate temperature (from minus 10 to 150 degree C) and on the condensation rate (from 1 to 30 A/s) it has been found that in this temperature range the condensation started by the formation of solid amorphous nuclei and the structures of the crystalline phases formed by amorphous-crystalline transition were determined by the morphology of the amorphous phase at the moment of crystallization.
