Abstract

Vision/color vision is one of the main senses of human creatures. Recently, the improvement of the color capturing capability has come into focus of researchers from two aspects. On one hand scientists want to improve the visual experience of healthy people (i.e. having good color vision facilities) while on the other aim to counteract color vision problems of color deficient persons. In this paper, a new filtering method is proposed which may offer partial solution to both problems. The technique applies simple and quick fuzzy measurement of the amount of information in the different color domains of a scene in order to be able to determine the necessary characteristics of transforming filters which may ensure the optimal or quasi optimal assignment of spectral distribution via modifying the artificial lighting.
