The serum of Balb/c mice infected with Rauscher leukemia virus contained soluble antigens characterized by α2 and β globulin electrophoretic mobility; their respective molecular weights, as determined with gel filtration, were 40,000 and 120,000. The antigens differed in specificity and their corresponding determinants were present on the surface of leukemic cells. For Balb/c mice both antigens were immunogenic, while for DBA/1 and C57Bl/10Sn mice only the antigen showing α2 mobility was immunogenic.
