Abstract

Optical and conductivity measurements on the organic charge-transfer complex (NBDT)2IxBr3-x indicate that the iodine chain is not conducting and disorder is important in the parent compound (NBDT)2I3 {NBDT = naphthaceno[5,6-cd: 11,12- c′d′]bis[1,2]dithiole}.
