High temperature magnetic aftereffect in iron alloys containing oxygen

Abstract

Dynamical magnetic aftereffect and disaccommodation measurements were carried out on iron alloys containing oxygen. Besides interstitial relaxation, a new unexpected effect was found at higher temperatures. The time dependence, activation energy of these relaxations were determined, and an interpretation was given as the relaxation of dislocations with mobile oxygen Cottrell clouds and as the relaxation of interstitial clusters around the precipitates.
