High energy THz pulse generation by tilted pulse front excitation and its applications

Abstract

Nowadays, highest energy (up to 30 μJ) single-cycle THz pulses from table-top systems can be generated by velocity-matching using tilted-pulse-front-excitation (TPFE). THz pulse generation using TPFE, and present and possible future applications will be reviewed.
