High efficiency second harmonic generation of femtosecond laser pulses in dispersion compensated ring cavity

Abstract

A dispersion compensated, synchronously pumped ring resonator is proposed for generation of high intensity femtosecond light pulses in the ultraviolet regime. The phase controlled ring cavity is a well known solution for continuous wave second harmonic generation.
