Abstract

Disturbances in hemostasis caused by malignant neoplasias are natural consequences of tumor progression and have negative effect on patients' life-expectancies. The role of this disturbances is not limited to thromboembolic complications, but permanent factors - although with different intensity - in progression. The pathomechanisms leading to the hemostasis problems are crucial in hematogenous metastatization. Therefore, anticoagulation, especially with low molecular weight heparin, can exert anti-progression effect.
