A case of generalized adenomatous gastrointestinal polyposis is described. A review of all similar cases reported to the present is given. The syndromes where gastrointestinal polyposis occurs are analyzed and their differential diagnosis is discussed. Attention is drawn, in connection with the present case, to the danger of malignant degeneration, this being in direct ratio to the length of time of existence of the illness.
