GENERAL APPROACH FOR NONLINEAR NETWORK SOLUTION AND PROCESS DESIGN.

Abstract

A general approach for nonlinear network solution is proposed and successfully applied to flowsheeting and optimal design of chemical processing systems at different hierarchical levels. The main features of the proposed method are investigated and some applications are presented. A simultaneous modular quasilinear two-level modelling technique is recommended and a generalized approach is proposed for the linear submodels of the processing units.
