Frequency dependence of frame dynamic characteristics of mineral and glass wool materials

Abstract

The frequency dependences of the frame dynamic modulus of elasticity and loss factor of bonded mineral and glass wool materials measured in the range of 100 to 3000 Hz are reported in this paper. It is shown that both the dynamic modulus and the loss factor of the materials without air in the pores are independent of frequency in the range of measurement. The value of the loss factor is about 0·001 to 0·01, which is significantly smaller than those reported earlier.
