Fregoli-delusion involves the belief that a familiar person disguises himself or herself as others. The authors report a case of Fregoli-delusion where the development of the symptom was rooted in the misidentified person's sexual behaviour. The authors give a detailed case report of a patient treated with the diagnosis of schizaffective psychosis. They interpret their case in the light of recent results of face recognition and use the most frequently cited modular model of Bruce, Ellis and Young (5). First in literature they demonstrate that in psychosis the person identity nodes stage of face recognition can be continuously deranged by the misidentified person's sexual behaviour.
