[Formula Presented]Sm-[Formula Presented] optical potential at astrophysically relevant energies derived from [Formula Presented]Sm[Formula Presented]Sm elastic scattering

Abstract

For the determination of the [Formula Presented]Sm-[Formula Presented] optical potential we measured the angular distribution of [Formula Presented]Sm[Formula Presented],[Formula Presented][Formula Presented]Sm scattering at the energy [Formula Presented] with high accuracy. Using the known systematics of [Formula Presented]-nucleus optical potentials we are able to derive the [Formula Presented]Sm-[Formula Presented] optical potential at the astrophysically relevant energy [Formula Presented] MeV with very limited uncertainties.
