Abstract

Partial decay widths corresponding to the proton decay from the Gamow-Teller and isobaric analog state resonances in 208Bi to hole states in 207Pb are evaluated. The giant resonances are described by using the random-phase approximation within the Berggren representation. A good agreement with available experimental data is obtained.
