Experimental data on full-scale frame behavior are important, as they enable the effect of column continuity through a loading level to be investigated and confirm whether the experimentally observed performance of isolated joints and subframes is indeed representative of their behavior when they form part of an extensive framework. Experimental investigations of full-scale frames are shown with regard to the effects of semirigid and partial strength nature of beam-to-column connections and column bases. An account is given of the results and the methods of comparative study based on second order plastic analysis and nonlinear shakedown analysis.
