Climatological events occurred in the Carpathian basin during the last two millennia were analyzed using the Rethly documentary collection. It was observed that a warm episode occurred between 1500 and 1600. It was also observed that after 1500s, floods, snow and wet conditions were seen in 81-89% of precipitated related documents. Temporal analysis of the two special events showed that historical records on hail in June increased from 24% in the 1600s to 32% in the 1800s.
