Extended description for electron capture in ion-atom collisions: Application of model potentials within the framework of the continuum-distorted-wave theory

Abstract

An extended description of the electron capture in ion-atom collisions was presented using the continuum-distorted-wave (CDW) approximations. The interaction of active electrons with residual-target and projectile electrons was described by model potentials, using the approximations. The cross sections for the electron transfer in collisions of bare and dressed projectile ions with H and He atoms were determined and compared with previously obtained results.
