Excitation functions of 3He-particle induced nuclear reaction on iron

Activation cross-sections for production of 54Mn, 55,56,57,58Co and 56,57Ni radioisotopes in 3He-induced reactions on iron were measured from 14 MeV up to 26 MeV. Stacked foil irradiation method and high-resolution gamma-spectroscopy were used to produce and to detect the activation products. The new experimental data were compared with the results reported in literature. The status of the experimental database was analysed to produce recommended data sets for different applications.
