Abstract

A method has been elaborated by the authors for determining the degree of inflammation in knee joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis with the help of 131I HSA resp. for mapping the anatomic relations. After intraarticular administration of 40 μCi 131I HSA the rate of radioactivity disappearance was found to be in inverse ratio to the rate of inflammation. The scintigraphic photos made from the same dosis have appeared to be suitable for demonstrating Baker cysts.
