Abstract

In ozaenous patients the number of T cells, their phytohaemagglutinin reactivity, as well as their specific cellular immunoprotection against the Klebsiella antigen have been examined by the authors. In their patients normal number of the T cells and normal phytohaemagglutinin reactivity have been observed and in all but one patient either by the lymphocyte transformation test or the leukocyte migration test cellular immunoprotection against the Klebsiella antigen could be verified. In the authors' opinion the chronic course of the process may not be considered as a consequence of the damage of the immune system.
