Abstract

The authors examined operational parameters of preparation of microcapsules in order to prepare a pharmaceutical speciality with optimal particle size and optimal release of the active substance. Using factorial experimental design, they constructed a mathematical model, and based on this they determined operational parameters necessary to prepare microcapsules of different particle size. By using the method elaborated, microcapsules of different particle sizes may be prepared so that the release rate of the active substance can be controlled appropriately.
