We generalize the cluster growth model presented by Gulácsi and Gulácsi (1994, Phys. Rev. Lett., 73, 3239) to a random system composed of particles with a finite size. Analytic expressions are deduced for temperature-dependent cluster growth probabilities describing chain-like histories in systems with dominant interparticle interactions of short-range type.
