Abstract

Ventriculomegaly/hydrocephalus is one of the most frequent anomalies of the central nervous system. In spite of the developing technique of the shunt-operations, the prognosis is considerably unfavourable. The exact etiology as well as the prenatal diagnostics has an essential significance (in the) adequate management of the malformation. Based on the 230 examined cases we try to give the review of the etiology of ventriculomegaly.
