Abstract

The estimation of temporal averages and trends are significant elements of elaborating water quality management strategies. This paper reviews some relatively simple statistical techniques in the context of shallow lake eutrophication control. The techniques are illustrated by analyzing measurement data from the Lake Balaton region of Hungary. -Authors
