Abstract

Three cases of eosinophilic fascitis are reported. In each case the skin of the upper and lower extremities was restricted and in two cases, apart from these phenomena, morphea resembling plaques could be seen. High rate of eosinophilia was characteristic in the peripheral blood test; the involvement of the visceral organs and Raynaud's phenomenon were not apparent. The histological finding was comparable with eosinophilic fascitis, immunoglobulin and C3 deposits could be recognized by the direct immunofluorescence method in two cases. Good effect was achieved by steroid treatment in two cases, in the third case spontaneous remission occurred.
