Ejected electrons at backward angles from He and Ne by He2+ impact

Abstract

The theoretical and experimental double differential cross sections for ejected electrons are compared for the 0.5 MeV/u He2+-He, Ne collision systems at backward observation angles. The theoretical values are calculated within the framework of first Born approximation. The agreement between the theoretical and experimental values is rather good for the He, but not for the Ne target.
