Effective lagrangian from QCD anomalies

Abstract

The full low-energy effective meson lagrangian, including the numerical value of the coefficients in the first correction terms, is obtained directly from the QCD lagrangian by means of integration of the non-abelian axial anomaly. Both the value and the sign of the coefficients agree surprisingly well with those obtained recently from a phenomenological fit.
