Abstract

NH//4Y and NH//4LaY type zeolite catalysts were prepared by cyclic ion exchange of synthetic LINDE Y zeolite. The release of ammonia and water was followed by a derivatograph. The effect of rare earth content of Y zeolite on the catalytic activity was studied in the alkylating reaction of isobutane with 1-butene.
