Effect of hypothermia and of endotoxin on phagocytosis (Hungarian)

Abstract

In the course of investigations carried out with colloid 198Au it was shown that the gold clearance was greatly reduced in rabbits cooled down to 29 to 30°C. The storage was primarily less in spleen and liver. In normothermic rabbits, endotoxin administration reduces the gold clearance; this effect is even more marked in the cooled animals, a state corresponding to hypothermia.
