Glutaurine (gamma-L-glutamyl-taurine) (the recently discovered hormone of the parathyroid) significantly elevated the serum glucocorticoid level of adult rats 30 or 60 min after injection. In newborns, the effect of single Glutaurine doses is detectable even 2 months following administration. The compound proved ineffective on the serum estriol level
