The effect of cyclohexene on the chloride ion oxidation process on a Pt electrode in nitromethane solution was studied by the convolution potential-sweep voltammetric method. The change in the rate of Cl- ion oxidation was interpreted in terms of a reaction between chlorine and the olefin in the adsorbed state.
