Abstract

Last years the Western Corn Rootworm, Diabrotica virgifera virgifera LeConte, has become one of the most significant pests in Hungary. Since its appearance in 1992 at Belgrad the insect has conquered almost the whole country and nowadays causes economical damage. The main point of sustainable development is the reduction of chemicals use in agriculture, which is possible with EM-1.
