Dynamics of magnetic flux inhomogeneities in Y-Ba-Cu-O-ceramics

Abstract

Modified neutron spin echo has been applied to study magnetic inhomogeneities in YBa2Cu3O7-δ-ceramics (TC = 91.5K) cooled down from 120 to 78K in the field H = 10-130 Oe. At 78K and momentum transfer q ∼ 0.1 nm-1 it was observed that the quasielastic magnetic scattering with energy transfer ΔE ∼ 10-100 μeV increases near HC1ab ∼ 40Oe and HC1c ∼ 80Oe when the flux fill up the grains of corresponding orientation. In the region HC1ab ≤ H ≤ HC1c the self-correlations of magnetic inhomogeneities have shown pronounced oscillations with amplitudes a ∼ 10-15nm and the periods τ ∼ 90-300ps.
