Dynamically generated abelian and nonabelian Higgs fields in QCD

I investigate the relative magnitude of abelian and nonabelian induced Higgs fieldsin the QCD vacuum. While the group-average of those fields is zero according to Elitzur's theorem, their squared value is nonvanishing. This may offer a mechanism for realizing a superconductor phase in Yang-Mills theories.
